It was a beautiful day and since I'm still home sick I spent a little time out on my deck. Seemed a good place to build a sun.

Day 194
More wet rocks on the deck at my new place. I'm almost done painting the basement which I am very excited about it has been a very nasty job. A few more days and I can start moving my stuff in, finally.

Day 170
I hauled my rocks over to the deck at my new place tonight. Outside I could throw some water on them to bring out the color.

Day 150
Well I have made it to day 150 and that makes me smile!
In case you missed it I will be at the Old West End festival Art Fair this weekend Saturday 10-5 and Sunday 11-5. We are set up on the grounds of the Art Museum Glass Pavilion. If you are in the area come say hi. Saturday's weather is going to be interesting to say the least.

Day 83
I played with my rocks tonight. This is the 4th time I have done one of these and I always like playing with my rocks. It is relaxing kind of like doing a jigsaw puzzle.

Day 58
I love playing with my rocks. Many of them bring back memories when I go through them. I do tend to pick up the same rocks, I guess I have a type when it comes to rocks. It was hard to get my photograph taken before Clara Belle disassembled it. Hard to be mad at her though because she has been ill and it was nice to see her wanting to play.

Day 35
I enjoyed the rock and pebble sun I made the other day and have thought about it several times since. Mostly thinking I really wanted to try a different design. So I sat on my studio floor and tried again. It felt like I was putting together a puzzle.

Day 31
Wanting to do something I hadn't done in the last 30 days I looked for inspiration in Noah Scalin's 365 book. On Day 5 he says "What do you collect. Work with a collection of objects you have in your home (or borrow a friends if you like)." For most of my life I have collected rocks at beaches all over the country. So tonight I got out one of my bowls of rocks and sat on my studio floor, which is that spongy puzzle floor, each square a different color, and made Sun 31. All my animals, one dog and 2 cats immediately gathered around to see what I was doing on the floor. I have a feeling some of the rocks will be knocked around by morning. I will try this again, it was fun.
