Day 464

Since I posted yesterday I have been thinking quite a bit about my time in the hospital and thought it might be time to post a few of these pics. The photo above is less than an hour before they rolled me into surgery. Below are some of the people who kept Mom and Richard company.

Here's what I looked like a year ago today.  I was not happy about having that tube down my throat. They had to tie my wrists down because I tried to pull it out.

The nurse was horrified when mom went to take these photographs.  She told him I was a photographer and I would want these photographs. I nodded yes.

As horrifying as these are, I progressed quickly in those first few days. Sitting in the chair was huge and so was standing.

It has been a long journey from then to where I am today, and I never would have made it without my family and friends. Thanks for every visit, every card, phone call, text and prayer.
