Day 328

Tomorrow off we go to Pleasant Unity Pennsylvania for Thanksgiving. It is a great place to go, especially for this holiday. We thought about heading out today but turns out that maybe by sticking with our original plan all the weather will be done when we pass through. At least that's what we are hoping. I'm really looking forward to this trip. It will be my first one this year so my first challenge to make a sun away from home, besides the hospital.  Of course I have too many art supplies prepared to take, I'll wanna be prepared for what inspires me.

Day 260

I whipped this up in my little 7 x 7 journal which I hadn't used for awhile.  260 suns done 105 to go, some days I can't believe I am still going and others I can't remember what life was like before I made something every day.

Day 157

Working in my 7 x 7 journal I drew this little sun with my colored pencils. 

Day 123

This is another small sun in my 7 x 7 journal. I sat and looked through this journal to start my sun making process.  There are now 16 suns in it I keep putting off cutting any out to frame, part of me wants to fill it up before I take any out.  I have plenty of other suns to frame up. 

Mark your calenders, I will be doing my first outdoor festival in 10 years.  The Old West End Festival June 1 and 2nd.  The Art fair will be set up by the glass building on the Toledo Museum of Art campus.  I again will show the Toledo Project and my suns. I am working on a few other venues to show my work and will of course will be plugging it all here.

Day 92

I haven't drawn a sun for several days now and I enjoyed working on this one in my 7 x 7 journal.
Unfortunately I didn't get much else done, yet.

Day 85

I didn't know if I was going to get this one done in time.  I was hit with some sort of intestinal bug tonight but I was able to finish.  I think the full moon influenced this sun.

Day 80

I went back to my little 7 x 7 journal tonight, I do like working small sometimes. Not that any of my suns are huge. . . yet.  I have big plans for the weekend, plans to get a lot done for Artomatic 419 which is now just three weeks away, yikes.

Day 75

Now for something completely different.  I found this transfer of photograph of my grandparents when they were courting when cleaning out my studio.  This is a laser copy I transferred with acetone. It came out way to light and didn't work great on the paper I used so when I came across it I could just see a sun filtering through those trees so I busted out the colored pencils. I always loved this photo of Sam and Eleanor Nagy,  it was taken about 1935.

Day 68

I decided to continue in my new 7 x 7 journal and do another colored pencil sun.  I do like the small square size of this journal and I am still feeling proud of myself for not being afraid of the first page yesterday.

Day 67

I bought a new journal at our fine local Art Supply store the Art Supply Depo and I drew this on the first page.  Normally I have Fear of the First Page and hold onto a journal for years saving it for what? Something special. Not today! Making art every day really is changing my life :)
