Day 54

Tonight was the 85th Annual Academy Awards.  Seth MacFarlane did a good job as host.  What seemed to be missing was reaction shots of the audience after the jokes.  Argo won Best Picture, and Ben Affleck's speech was great.  I was glad Life of Pi won several awards.

This is my ode to the Oscars.  I used this 16mm film reel as my substrate and decorated it with duct tape.  I like the lighting I used make the photograph.

Day 37

This sun is inspired by my 11 year old niece Madison Grace AKA Mags. She loves duct tape and has been making stuff with it.  For Christmas she even got a special bag to keep all her different kinds of duct tape.  On New Years Eve she made me a pen with a flower on the end made of duct tape and I love it.  So I have this metal bread basket I never use and a few weeks ago I was looking at it thinking this could be the base for a sun.

 

It turned out to be the perfect substrate for me duct tape sun.  It took awhile to figure how to fold the duct tape to work best. I am happy with how it turned out.

I am loving my little 8  month old kitten Clara Belle.  She is so cute and makes me smile every day
so I had to share these photos.  She is recovering well from her operation.
