                   Happy New Year!
Two years ago today I started this blog. I wanted to, as my tag line says, make art every day to change my life. I was inspired by my friend Kellie who is starting her 4th year writing her blog Create Something, Anything... She counts anything creative as her "make something", as she says. I chose the theme of a sun. I liked knowing what I was going to make, then just had to figure out what media to use to make it.

Last year I continued on with the Suns for awhile but grew tired of them as the year progressed. I mostly posted about my life  as the year finished and I really got away from, "making art every day to change my life".

This is the first post for my new 365 challenge. I am going to do self-portraits,  which will be loosely interpreted. Sometimes I'll do a straight selfie, other days I might be inspired by those around me. I want to include drawing not just  photography. I don't want to have too many rules, so I can reinterpret along the way if necessary. The only person I will disappoint is myself.

My cousin Kim took this photo on New Year's Eve, and I had fun sprucing it up for my first of 365 images of me.
