Day 33

Messing With Michelangelo

So this is something different, I have an old calender, that belonged to my friend Ruth, of Michelangelo drawings and I thought wouldn't it be fun to turn one into a sun. This guy seemed perfect.  In keeping with my quest to use all my many different art supplies I took out a box of  Rembrandt soft pastels that are for portraits.  My grandmother gave me these pastels years ago I think I was in High School. I like how it turned out. It's simple yet powerful.
