Day 24

I love these color conte crayons, they were my dear friend Ruth's who passed away in 2009.  I miss you Ruth. She would love that I am doing this project.

I mentioned on my first day that I was inspired to start this blog and 365 project by my friend Kellie who had just finished making something everyday for a year.  Yesterday I looked at http://makesomething365.blogspot.com/ and there was Kellie talking about how her year long project had affected her life.  The following is part of what she wrote:

I had put myself in a place to feel isolated and suddenly I felt the need to be around other artists and creative types, and I signed up for workshops at a local supply store. Because I’d been working on stuff, I felt like a participant again, not someone standing on the sidelines, cheering others on and thinking about what I used to do. I had something to talk about!
